Mary Mealyea longed to be a mother, just like her friends. But she came to see that genuine understanding was scarce, and honest talk nearly impossible. More than that, she faced a long series of medical hurdles, fraught with ethical decisions and challenges that would put a strain on her relationship with her husband, and with her God.
Mary (known to her friends as "Ray") shares her story to allow others to understand the trauma of infertility. In addition, her own medical training will help those who are walking the same path to evaluate current options in treatment. Most of all, we see how pain and affliction can come to enrich a Christian's walk with her Lord.
