Was the chemo effective? Will there need to be follow-up of a similar sort? What other medical challenges lurk around the corner? When can I get back to work? Crowding one on the other with no clarity of resolution, I found these questions leading nowhere constructive. Then lie the piercing call of the loon, in a juxtaposition to these disturbing messengers of doubt, came the voice of Jesus - not audibly, mind you, but our of my memory bank of verses learned in younger days.
What a reminder of His grace! What a release from anxiety! Jesus, asking me to team up with Him, connect with Him, hook up to His wagon in tandem, side by side with the Prince of Peace, the Giver of Grace.
